Hydroelectric Energy
The disadvantages of hydroelectric energy are that large areas of land need to be flooded in order to create a reservoir. To keep a reservoir filled with enough water, a large river is needed.
Hydroelectric energy works when water flows from reservoirs and turns turbines. Electricity is created by the turning of the turbines.
The advantages of hydroelectric energy are that it is the most common form of renewable energy, provides recreational lakes, and provides water for irrigation.
