Nuclear Energy
Nuclear energy is important because it provides electricity.
The disadvantages of nuclear energy are it is dependent on nonrenewable resources, can be dangerous if uncontrolled and if an accident were to occur at a nuclear plant an explosion could cause radiation to escape into the atmosphere which could increase the populations risk of cancer.
The advantages of nuclear energy are nuclear plants do not pollute the air with gas or soot and it is very efficient and clean.
Nuclear energy depends on Uranium. Uranium atoms are split in a nuclear reactor producing energy that heats water that becomes steam, the steam in-turn produces electricity to supply submarines and some ships.
We can use it responsibly by not using the nuclear energy plants too much and have only highly trained personnel to maintain them to prevent life threatening accidents.
